This blog has been very much neglected due to various reasons. The top reasons would be me being busy with other commitments, one of them being laziness. But enough excuses on my behalf. Roll the tape, baby!
I've been on holidays from uni for the past week but I wouldn't even call it that. It has been crazy apart from the last few days when I was up in the Blue Mountains winding down from all the amounted stress for the long weekend. I've been one hectic cow. And it's great to see that the weather shits itself on the day I come back to Sydney. Why thank you for not screwing with my much anticipated break Mother N.
Finally took my brother out to see a proper version of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory instead of the bodgy copy we had on computer. It was even bigger and better on the big screen! Slightly twisted, but that's what I love about a Burton and Deppy combo :] I loved Burton's interpretation much more than the sugar-coaty original definitely.

Pre-movie Brekky @ 8PM
Last week I was busying myself with work. They sent me off to Penrith on Thursday to cover the Canoe Slalom World Championships up at Penrith Whitewater Stadium. Apart from the Ribena resembling mug shot my boss took of me for my media card, everything was absolutely awesome! The best part was probably me diving into the FREE packed lunches and sitting behind our press tent in the shade watching beautiful male specimens strutting around; wet, shirtless, hot and bothered by the heat and very much TONED :D I'm quite disappointed I didn't bring a camera along actually.
I was sent to the media pen AKA the chook frying pen where I fried like smoked beef under the lovely sun. I felt incredibly sorry for the SBS TV reporter who rocked up in a thick shirt, tucked into smart black pants complemented by very shiny black shoes. YOU POOR CHAP! Anyhow, I was working with a few other people and we had to do the hard stuff whilst our superiors sat in the (pretty steamy) tent doing their thang.
I was doing stuff such as waiting in the enclosed chook pen for the athletes to come off their vessels, flash quote them, run back to the tent, quickly type up the material and racing back down to do it all over again. It was nevetheless an exciting and fun experience which involved me sometimes having to break free from the pen to chase down the sneaky bastards who wanted to avoid commenting coz they just did completely shithouse and felt like CRRRAP!
Anyhow, I did my final shift on Saturday. After work, I hopped on the train and headed straight down to the Blue Mountains to meet up with the boys, Tim, Andrew and Kit. We had booked our stay at a hostel in Katoomba. We decided that it was better to be stingy on accomodation costs and use the funds on food :D
Well, as mountain holidays go, there's always eating out, shopping for supplies, bush-walking, more eating out, shopping, getting tipsy/smashed, cafeing, post-eating-out eating in the hostel room before bed, late-night discussions in the dark about strange topics and pushing the *REPEAT* button to do it all over again.
However, when I first arrived that Saturday afternoon at the hostel, I found Andrew already asleep the lazy bugger.

Breakfast on the patio
The next morning involved the gruelling but beautiful 4 hour bush walk. Tim decided we take the National Pass in Wentworth Falls, walking along the middle section of the mountains.

The views were spectacular!
Along the way, we found a rather interesting cavity in the side of the mountain. Andrew and Kit decided to rest their bums, get out their guides and mediate with nature's call MWAHAHA.

Ahhhh...how's the serenity?
The last day was spent at the cute neighbouring town, Leura. It was a dainty little town with lots of character. The weather was glowing that day.

Tim is quite the Flaneur
I spotted some very interesting looking poodles. I find them ugly as fuck but at the same time, also very much fascinating. I did spent a lot of the time sitting on the nice grassy stretch in the middle of the road soaking in some yummy UV rays for my cancer reserve.

Sunny, Sunny! Happy, Happy!
After awhile, I was accused of being a fobby tourist. And I think the boys were very embarassed by my phototaking antics. But I didn't give two flying hoots as I continued to CLICK AWAY!

ROFL @ Kit scratching his xxxx
I found an all-year Christmas Shop. Breakfast left me feeling disabled and demanding piggy backs from Andrew. Although the weight of breakfast + a heavy Thaocow might have also disabled him since he's sucha fragile boy. And I also saw a very noice mirror and THE MOST HECTIC dormeuse everrrr! I WANT! Too bad it was in the triple 0's price range :(

I admit I'm a fucken tourist
We ended up at Cafe Josephan's for some lovely Belgian chocolate. The hazlenut pralines were HMMMHMMMHMMM! And how cute were those cappuccino shaped chocs? Awesome. I felt so freaking satisfyingly saturated.

Chocolate fountain deluxe!
Anyway, in other news, Veronica, my beloved negotiations comp partner and I are into the semi-finals. It's scheduled for tomorrow night and I'll be versing some well known household names, Kit and Fai. *GRITS TEETH* It's gonna be a blood-bath. I really wanna make the Finals, so I shall be showing NO MERCY!!! Actually I'm shitting my pants coz Kit's an evil bastard in the comp room. I better go read my stuff and start preparing. *whimpers*
